The Orchestra- Information Report

An orchestra is a band of people that play all sorts of lovely music. There are four different families which are string, woodwind, brass and percussion. There is a conductor that does hand movements to control the music.

The string instruments are played by being plucked or rubbed by a bow. A harp and cello are string instruments. My favourite string instrument is a violin.

The percussion instruments are played by being tapped. A xylophone and a snare drum are percussion instruments. My favourite percussion instrument is a snare drum.

Another family is the brass they work by blowing air into them. They are also made out of metal. My favourite brass instrument is the trumpet.

The last family is woodwind they were originally made from wood. They work when you blow air through a mouth piece. When the four families combine their music . The music sounds remarkable.

  1. Grayson this is an awesome information report. Anyone that reads this report will know what is orchestra and how it is organised. I especially liked your introduction . The introduction is well explained, with your own original ideas.

The next step maybe to change the way we organise the information report, as it repeats on itself. The favourite instrument line needs to be changed or altered. However, i am very proud of writing and so should you.
